Motivational Monday
Thanksgiving is the holiday of peace, the celebration of work and the simple
life… a true folk-festival that speaks the poetry of the turn of the seasons,
the beauty of seedtime and harvest, the ripe product of the year – and the deep,
deep connection of all these things with God. ~Ray Stannard Baker
As we enter into Thanksgiving week, I am reminded in so many ways, how important gratitude is.
It’s a time that I reflect on all the
things, the people, the places, events and circumstances that I have experienced
this past year that added so much growth and wisdom on my own personal journey.
I am grateful for the highs and the lows. I know that life becomes
stagnant, dull and meaningless if you sit still waiting for life to happen for
you. Life happens in the swing. Not just on the swing There
are times during some moments that I am not feeling thankful for what my current
experience is, but as with all the seasons, I know that no matter what is going
on or happening, “This too shall pass.”
This reminds me to stay in the moment and
be present so I can fully engage in every experience, dance with every emotion,
and make peace with every feeling, be it good or bad. Each person, place and
experience you’ve had in your life is an offering from the universe. It’s a
morsel, a nugget, a precious treasure of wealth, wisdom, love and joy. As long
as you are open to receive and learn from the lessons. Reasons, Seasons,
Lifetime. Friends, relationships, change. It happens. It will continue to
happen.
You will get through and you will be able
to look back and reflect with gratitude, the gifts that life presents to you.
The gifts come in every shape, size, form and flow. May this first day of
Thanksgiving week bring you to your own place of peace, and gratitude for the
cornucopia of fruits (and nuts) flowing into and growing through your life.
spend with me and the energy that we get to share together. Whatever season,
reason or lifetime we are to each other, I thank you. I am grateful for you.
