Wednesday Inspiration to get you over the hump
May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose…Does that even make any sense? Kinda sorta in a crazy way to me it does
…Ummm OUCH! Could you even begin to imagine the aftermath of something like that? Yikes!
Goooood Morning and please allow me to share with you a personal confession. Get over the hump Wednesday is super close to home for me this week. Lots of challenges to tackle, pebbles stepped on, dead deadlines, pesky ants, mountains climbed, and we’re only at the half way week mark. Wheeewww I need me some inspiration today
The song I am sharing is a super charged fun way to wiggle your way back to work and whistle while you get it done. It’s a sure way to shift you from your icky Sh** to your inspirational shine. It’s a rinse and repeat song too.
You may be having one of those weeks or days, OR a pesky, annoying co-worker, crabby employer, frustrating family member or perhaps an intrusive neighbor may be saturating your space with their ick and corrosion. Or a road raging lunatic who cuts you off because you’re enjoying the sunshine glaring in your eyes as you defensively drive to the office. Heck it could even be the cockroach thoughts contaminating your mind. Whatever, or whomever may be grinding your nerves a bit, this is a fun new way to give them the bird
Even if you are not into Little Jimmy Dickens or Country music, this catchy lil’ tune will put a bit of wiggle in your head, turn the smile notch up a tad and inject some silliness in your steps. And it’s neither gender nor genre biased
This song wasn’t just a Country hit, it was also a pop hit. Never would have guessed
I’ll let you in on a little secret, (it was before my time too), but holy omgosh what a fun and delightful tune. Take a step back from the frustration or the challenge you’re currently presented with. Breathe in deeply 3 times. With each breath in say, “I am” and with each breath out, “calm & relaxed” Then once more for good measure. That’s all you need. You don’t have to hold your breath and count to ten. Or find a coat closet and meditate for 10 minutes while sitting like a pretzel. 3 deep breaths in and out. Then once more.
This simple tip will carry you through the rest of the week and anytime you need to take a step back and regroup before you fly off in a bird rage. My 8 year old daughter Lexie and I have been singing this to each other since Sunday. It’s fun and you know I love to add anything to my day that’s fun! Share in the inspiration and at any time you are challenged by someone wanting to dampen your spirit, look at them with a Chester Cheetah grin and simply say as you walk away, “May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose”
